| Well, it's been a hell of a long time. The rundown: I've been in Birmingham for a month, now, working on Mega-Heroes with Birmingham Children's Theatre. It's a cute little 1-hour show, the kids like it, etc., so that's good, and I'm also getting paid (pretaxes) $325 a week. I'm a paid actor now! I'm also getting to see friends I haven't in a while, and to make new ones. Auditioned for 42nd Street, didn't make callbacks. Auditioned for Secret Garden, didn't make callbacks. I did, however, get accepted to UAH this next fall for Psychology, and when I take the ACT again and make a better score that my 31, I should get at least a little money at some point. If I hadn't slacked off Junior year and kept my GPA up, I wouldn't be consistently like .1 away from qualifying for scholarship, so if anyone actually reads this, let that be a lesson to you, because I didn't take it seriously, and now I'm 2 years behind where I should be. =( My latest project has been to fix up my car the best I can. So far: - Washed and Waxed and Vaccummed - Got the motor mount fixed so it doesn't clunk around - Put 2 really good tires with 75,000-mile tread on them, and now it's an entirely smooth ride - Getting the front brakes and rotors fixed as I type this, so I'll be able to stop right To come: - Get that front left turn signal replaced and fix the body around it - Get two tires for the back to match the new ones in front, and get all of them aligned - Get a tune-up After that, it seems to me that, given how much better it feels ALREADY, it's going to seem like a fairly new vehicle. I'm excited. =) Everything else is going very well, and I'm pretty happy with where I'm headed. =) |
